Who’s Ready for Some Football?
The Robert E Miller Fantasy Football League is ready! Each year we play some fantasy football to help raise a portion of the memorial fund’s annual contribution. We give back in remembrance of those we have loved and lost. In lieu of flowers and funerals, we grieve and remember by giving back to the families and communities around us. Robert’s family is five generations Floridians and we love giving back right here in Florida. As you can see below, all of our fantasy football team owners are Floridians as well.

We thought it would be fun to have a quick Team Owner Introduction for the 14 teams playing with us this season. This is the largest league in our 7 year history. We will be helping a wonderful family try to recover from the sudden loss of their husband, father and best friend. Thank you!
Atlantic Division
The Tornado – Doris Miller
Doris is Robert’s widow, a great grandma, and has been playing fantasy football since the creation of the league in 2004. Don’t let the little old lady fool you; she’s made it to the playoffs several times.
Beez Bomberz – Brooks Miller-Busby
Brooks is Robert’s first born granddaughter that always seems to be defeated by her father or husband in the final round of the playoffs. She’s looking for some sweet revenge this year!
Team TnT – Teri Kennelly
Our Palm Coast team owner, Teri has played with us since the creation of the league. Although she doesn’t hold a title yet, beware. We’ve seen her produce some great teams, only to be defeated by injuries.
Team Carpenter – Matt Carpenter
Matt is a cabinet designer that lives in Orlando with his two boys and beautiful wife. He played with our league a few years ago, and after being sent down to the minors, he has returned to play with the big boys.
Welcome back Matt!
Hayden’s Highrollers – Colby & Heather McCulley
Colby & Heather reside in Gainesville and just had their first baby, Hayden. We are honored to have these experienced fantasy football team owners join our league this year!
Indian River Rats – Matt & Malisa Ciccotto
They are a fun loving couple, raising a baby girl in Vero Beach. She’s the mouth on the smack boards, he’s the roster setter behinds the scenes…or wait, she’s the roster setter and he’s the mouth? We never know one is talking it up on the smack boards, but we love having both of them each year!
Gulf Division
Tallahassee Tomahawks – Bryce Miller
Bryce is Robert’s granddaughter and a dual Spanish and International Studies major at Florida State University, this little senorita holds the 2005 championship title and has made several playoffs. Cuidado!
Ocala Piledrivers – Jeff Russell
Jeff is a long time friend to Miller family, and works as quality control manager for a concrete company in Ocala. He always seems to finish right in the middle of the pack. Maybe this year will be his play off year.
Team Orefice – Martin Orefice
Marty works as a real estate professional serving the Central Florida area. He joins our league for the first time this year. Definitely not a rookie though, we’ve already heard that he won his league last year.
Bailey’s Bruisers – David Bailey
Dave is the service manager for Harley Davidson in Ocala. He is returning for his third season with us. If you can’t find him on the Sunday smack boards, then he’s probably off riding his Harley.
Capital City Cougars – Austin Phelps
Austin is a graphic arts major at Florida State University. He joins the league for the first time this year. He may be new to our league, but he is not new to fantasy football.
Clearwater Chiefers – John Salg
John has played with us since 2004. He and his wife Cara brought a wonderful baby boy into the world this year. John holds the 2006 Championship Title and is a force to be reckoned with.
Gainesville Gophers – Captain Tony
Tony Miller is Robert’s only living son and the man to beat since he holds three championship titles. When he’s not studying fantasy football stats, you can find him stone claw crabbing in the Gulf of Mexico.
Port Orange Pelicans – Kyle Busby
Kyle has started and managed the league since 2004, and has taken home two championship titles. He doesn’t like to lose so be on the lookout.
Please note the teams in Blue knew and loved Bruce Douglas. We all grew up laughing with him, and know he would want us to have a great time doing this. Team Owners be sure to have some fun on the league’s weekend smack boards. We want to hear what everyone is up to!

L to R: Bruce Douglas, Beez Bomberz, Port Orange Pelicans
We are honored to be able help Bruce’s wife and three young children this year. Thank you for your support. We hope you all have a great draft and season!
Good Luck!
Brooks & Kyle
Robert E Miller Memorial Fund Update
Hello Family, Friends & Supporters!
We hope 2011 finds you all doing well! We had a quiet start to the year and enjoyed spending time with our families. We ended 2010 by donating $800 and over 8 pounds of camper supplies to Camp Boggy Creek, a year round camp for seriously ill children in Eustis, Florida. This year we are excited to kick off our new plans…now that we know the NFL football season will start! Each year, a large portion of our annual donation is funded by a charity football league with a $500+ jackpot for winners.
In May of 2011 our family lost a close friend. Bruce Douglas, a 30 year old father and friend, left this world after an auto accident. Bruce was a fun loving guy that could always brighten your day. He leaves behind a beautiful wife Leighann, and three very young children. He will be greatly missed.

This year the contributions of our efforts will go to help his family. From now until December 1st, 2011 we will be raising money to help support Bruce’s memory and family through a number of ways. We couldn’t think of a better time to give than at the holidays!
The tragedy of losing a loved one reminds us of why our family has decided to remember by giving. Each year we’ve given back in remembrance of our loved ones, and since 2002 we have given over $15,000 to charities and causes, both big and small, and especially to those here in Florida.
We are honored by your support and assistance. Please spread the word to anyone you know that would like to play fantasy football with us! Here’s the fantasy football break down:

Supplies for Camp Boggy Creek
Help Camp Boggy Creek, a year round camp for seriously ill children in Central Florida, by collecting items on their camper needs list. In addition to our monetary assistance this year, the REM Memorial Fund is collecting camper supplies until November 15th!
The children need all sorts of items…from band aids to rain ponchos, from swim goggles to cake mixes, the needs list is large. This is a great time of year to purchase items! Stores are clearancing summer items, as they get ready for the Holiday season.
